John S. Esposito is Of Counsel to the firm
and specializes in criminal defense. He is an expert criminal trial
attorney in both Federal and State prosecutions. He is currently Special
Counsel for the New York State Court Officers Union as well as Counsel
to the National Development and Research Institute with respect to
criminal matters. Mr. Esposito is also counsel to Anything IT, a data
security and asset management company dealing with technological
hardware systems.
Mr. Esposito has represented many clients in high
profile cases such as William Trager in the Dan Rather assault case in New York,
as well as the NBC
shooting, Harvey Weinstein's kidnapping in New York City, and the
Amy Fisher attempted murder case in Nassau County. Mr. Esposito has been
a guest commentator for Court TV and a lecturer for the New York County
District Attorney's Trial Advocacy Program.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Esposito was an Assistant District Attorney in New York
County where he was responsible for the investigation and prosecution of major felonies, including
homicides, narcotics offenses and white collar crime. Prior to leaving the District Attorney's Office, he
served as a Supervisor in the Criminal Court Bureau.
Mr. Esposito graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from St. John's University and obtained his Juris
Doctorate degree from Fordham University of Law in 1984.
